He'd been begging for attention all evening so finally I picked him up and
was holding him close to me at shoulder level, then I started scritching his
back. Now I've noticed as a lot of you probably also have that when you
scritch a cat's back they will start trying to groom you - or the air, or
whatever they can reach. It's hilarious when they start licking the air,
yes? But this time, the end of my nose was the focus of Abelard's attention,
and I did not get licked, I got chewed! You know, the way they chew
themselves sometimes, that is what he did to the end of my nose. What a
feeling....

Our cat Dimples used to love to lick us. And lick and lick. But she would
also do that chewy thing as though we had fur!!
