Hi all:

I've added a new picture of Otis who set himself up to be worshipped:

http://community.webshots.com/scripts/editPhotos.fcgi?action=showMyPhoto&albumID

My apology to Baha - I started off doing Buddhist insight meditation, hence
the Buddhas.  Then, as I did more and more yoga, found myself irrestibly
drawn to the Hindu gods and goddesses.  First Shiva, then Durga and, now
finally, I think, Saraswati.  I know it is silly to have so many.

Take care,

SM

I was going to mention that Otis is not fat and I don't think he needs
to go on a diet ;-)
Thanks for providing the other link, the first one didn't work for me.
Great picture!

Apologies indeed! I can't get onto the page!!! I get an error message that says I am not the owner of the site and it won't let
me through.

Actually, nothing to apologize for. It sounds like a scream and I'd love to see these pictures! I've got a sense of humor about
this stuff... some years ago, my then-boyfriend Jeff and I came up with Fritzianity, a religion and philosophy based on the
concept that one's cat is the center of the universe and the universe itself; good karma is increased and distributed for the
good of all by petting the cat, and the purr is the sound of karma shifting for universal good; and that all cats are an
extension of the One Great Cat, and our Fritzie was the first prophet of the movement.

Now, I advise you to light a little mound of catnip before Himself, and chant the mantra of the One Great Cat:
MEEEOOOOWWWWWWWMMMM!!!!!

Blessed be,
Baha

Of my crew,

Mr. Clark would prefer to be the stern but kindly senior priest of
the temple,
Ding would wander around trying to become an acolyte,
   and
   Rhonda would sell indulgences.
Singh - 08 Jan 2005 05:35 GMT
Of mine...

Roxie would be Dalai Lama.

Odessa would be Artemis of the Chase.

Brandy and Stosh would be a pair of drunken Vikings whose idea of fun is
sword practice after a few healthy rounds of mead.

Blessed be,
Baha

Actually, I've been thinking a bit more about this. Mr. Clark wears
orange robes (more or less), and will beg to have his bowl filled...

May I suggest that they take up visits to the hi cees instead?  The good
pirate cat ship "Mouser" can always use good and rowdy crew members.

Sounds like Brandy and Stosh would enjoy Valhalla.  Get drunk, go kill
each other, get up, go to feast, repeat as needed/desired.

Brenna would be...well, she poses like the little Bastet statues and is
black.  However, unless Bast has a silly, prankster side, I'm guessing
that Brenna would be a priestess-in-training along the lines of Maria
being a nun in The Sound of Music.  (How do you solve a problem like
Brenna...ow! Stop that! No chewing on Meowmie!!)

Actually sounds something like what my mom said after she saw "The
Commitments."  I said "What did you learn about the Irish, Mom?"  She
said "They drink and fight a lot."  ;)

I know.  I don't know what god Stinky would be unless he could be a
God of Silliness.   The idol would be a statue of a cat with a fake
arrow through his head, or a lampshade on it. ;)

Might be Loki, the prankster god of the vikings. Although he had an evil
side to him, too.

That first link that I mentioned doesn't work because accidentally sent the
link from inside my photo manager, which is restricted.  Here is the correct
link - maybe my correction posts are slow to post!  In one of my other posts
in this thread, I also pointed out that I know that I spelled Deity
incorrectly - just so you know that I know my spelling!

I like that. Many years ago, we formed the Church of the Frisbeterian.
It had something to do with the souls of Frisbees that were trapped on
roofs. That was before I was a Cat Person.
