Hi all:

I've finally got my pictures scanned from our trip to Ireland from August
2004.  If anyone is remotely interested in them, they can view them on page
two of  http://community.webshots.com/user/susanmandfredk !

A bunch have kids in them - none have cats!

Take care,

SM

LOL Victor!  I should have photoshopped a balloon over my head saying "Where
are you Otis????"

Have you decided on your machine or not?  I'm envious!  Where ar eyou doing
your yoga?  John Friend is doing another community workshop in February or
March (the guy I went there to see) - you should really see him!  I may come
back for this spring's workshop, though I have a lot going on with the kids
this year.

Take care,

We decided to get a free loan by putting it into one of those 0% for 12
months promotional credit cards... :) we'll just make enough monthly
payments so that it will be paid off by the end of the year.
I'm hoping it will be here in about a week or two, then we'll see how
long it takes for it to become a cat tree... ;-)

I do yoga at work, they have classes twice a week in the site where my
office is, but I've been spending all my time in another site where they
have them 3 times a week, so I'm not complaining.

Well, if you do come, you know you're welcome to stay with us. I don't
think I'm good enough to go to a full workshop though...

I assume that you mean of my furry kids - thanks <blushing>.  I thought that
Chester was hillarious in that last picture!

Thanks Helen. Aren't they lovely. It could almost be Cornwall! (apart
from the lack of cats, that is)  :-)

BTW while surfing your pages I was struck by how similar my Bandit is to
your Otis: even down to the black chin-blob (Bandit's is a little
larger). It wouldn't surprise me if B's ancestry also included some
Meezer: he has the elongated head, though not the nose, but all of the
voice and the attitude!

So cousinly purrs all round. Hope the allergies are under control (?)

PS Bandit's on show for comparison at
http://community.webshots.com/user/exocat
if you've not been there before.

Thanks Gordon - your Aries has the body type of my Otis and Aries was an
extremely appealing cat - wow, such gorgeous fur and crazy oriental body.
He has the same countenace as Otis somehow.  And yes, your Bandit and Otis
share the same colouring!

What are their personalities?  Was Aries a people oriented d*g-like cat who
always got into trouble?  Is Bandit the same way???

LO Susan

Big questions: how long have you got?  :-)

Aries (half pedigree Siamese, half big black bruiser by parentage) loved
people on his own terms and in his own time but treated them as servants
(very proper too, I hear from the chorus). So's not to repeat myself I
can best point you over to my rpca post of 17th Dec 2003 "Aries RB - a
Tribute" which can be Googled. Sufficient to say that another year has
gone by since we parted and I miss him as much as ever (no disrespect to
my current boys).

Bandit had some abuse and neglect in his first 2 (pre-rescue by me)
years, so steers clear of strange hoomins, females especially. With me
he's the demanding and vociferous sort you'd expect, complete with
grating and piercing miaow. He's particularly friendly with all the
neighborhood cats, surprisingly, sitting alongside them in the "out" in
the most matey fashion. Pericles wants to get at them to kill them while
Snowball wants to get at them to romp with them.

B parented P when he arrived as a 17-wk-old kitten, already the same
size, and was far more receptive to Snowball, too - now they have
head-licking contests.

Sometimes B's love for me seems to overpower him and he jusy HAS to
snuggle up real close, under my armpit, and snurgle me and be stroked
and purr like a 427 cu in Hemi V8. Aren't I a lucky Daddy?

Purrs

Susan, your pictures are gorgeous!  It looks beautiful there, very
lush and green but not in a tropical Thailand way.  But it did look a
bit cold to me ;-)  It was also nice to see so many pics of your kids.

Thanks Britta - I'm glad your tour guys were okay and I'm thankful that you
both made it home before the disaster.

Yes, it was a little chilly at times in Ireland - just the way I like it :-)
