Look at the pillow case my sister gave me for Yule: http://tinyurl.com/3zcsk The caption says, "Just five more minutes". And now I can offer real purrs to anyone in need. I managed to record a .wav file with Nikki's special, trilling purrs. If anyone wants to hear it, drop me a line at marina (dot) kurten (at) pp (dot) inet (dot) fi. Or if anyone can point me to a place where I could post the file, I could make it available to everyone. I believe everyone needs access to a purr file. ;o) (Am I a crazy cat person or what?) I'll have to check if they have the one with the black cat too. Take it down half an octave and it's just what I'm used to from little Bandit on a friendly day: I call him my "V8 Purrmachine". As with Nikki, sometimes all it takes to start him off is a kindly look. His favourite time to give full-volume vent is while I'm on the 'phone: he nearly always comes up for a stroke (he hates to be ignored) and starts up right away. I often have to explain away the rumbling in the background: he gets "put on the line" occasionally and never fails to impress his audience. I was ho9lding her and sort of stroking her, but sometimes you just have to *look* at her and she starts up. I can sometimes hear her from the other room.
