As most in here know, my "kids" are Felix [longish-haired brown tabby,
neutered male, believed to be part Maine Coon, about 11 years old] and
Ava [ringneck dove, female, age unknown, but she has not grown
significantly since her arrival two years ago so we infer she was an
adult when she reached us].
My "kids" get along pretty well for the most part [helps that Felix is
middle-aged and lazy, given Ava's habit of buzzing him or landing
right in front of him]. This evening, as a joke, I put Ava on Felix
while he was stretched out on the sofa. All was well, the kids calmly
co-existing [DH got a cute picture], until I realized we had a
problem.
Ava had just dropped a BIG birdie bomb on Felix's side.
I moved her quickly, grabbed Kleenex to get the main mass of the bomb
removed, then grabbed the cat wipes and finished the cleanup [Felix
purring contentedly during the whole cleanup].
At least Ava had the good grace to not giggle about it. :-) [She does
make a giggling noise at times.]

I didn't get a picture of the birdie bomb [I was too busy getting it
cleaned off the cat before he started cleaning himself]. DH is working
on getting the picture of the kids together ready to post.

Sorry, but ROFL. It isn't often that a bird gets one over on a cat!

No apology necessary, DH and I were laughing too [LIS, at least the
bird didn't start giggling]. :-)
