Mozart goes shopping tomorrow

Yup, we took Mozart back to the Haven today, so that he can go to
PetSmart tomorrow to shop for his only home.  In return, we brought
Calvin back.  He's currently resting comfortably in Mandy's room and
she's trying to find excuses for him to stay there permanently.

Calvin is a brown tabby (with bull's eye pattern on his sides) and
white.  He has a sad sweet voice when he cries and a rather
philosophical outlook.  He had an only home once, but his hoomins
(litter box offerings for these people, ok) moved and abandoned him in a
parking lot.  Needless to say when we got him the first time, he was
literally skin and bones.  He became ill, and had to be taken back to
the Haven for a while, but is healthy now.  He's also kept some weight
on him so he won't be nearly as hard to feed up as we were afraid of.

Our job is to get him back into homing trim, and get him to trust
hoomins again.  Kids, I'll tell you, this one might be hard to return to
the Haven.  He's so darn sad and sweet even with all that he's been
through.  I've already warned them that it will be hard for me to give
him back.  They just smiled and said that they understood.

BTW Rob's mom called and while sad about Berfert (she also liked the
little guy) pointed out that if we do as Rob wants and sell the house
and take up living on the road, we won't have room for seven cats.
She's right, but we might have room for three, Tanada, Huey and Calvin.
Right?  QC and Pine Cone look to Mandy and Merlin looks to Jason,
Mike's best friend.

Season's Greeblings to everyone and a Happy Nude Year,

Nope, don't like the "Pern" series at all, nope, not one bit.

Ohmygawd, I *LOVED* that series - read everyone.  I think Dragonsong,
Dragonsinger and Dragondrums were my favorite, but I loved the one about
Robinton (can't think of the title) was my most favorite.

Hugs,

We gave Seth that name because he looked like a baby dragon when he
curled up to sleep.  There's no "Seth" on Pern (that we know if) but
the name fit the conventions and the spirit of the thing.

Master Harper of Pern?  It's been a while since I grabbed this series of
comfort books.  I'm currently re-reading my Honor Harrington series
(David Webber)  "Bleek"  <flirts my tail>
