I was struck this weekend by how much Harri and Sammy look like each
other! Their coloring is very similar, they both have bullseye markings
- they're both quite beautiful. I took some digital photos and put them
online.

The photos are a little large (a little over 100K each), but if you have
a high-speed connection they're not too bad. They can be seen at

Awww, you just love orange stripey cats! <G>  Lovely shots of both of them,
thanks!

I love the mid pounce pic! How did the kitties do together at Christmas?

They did very well! Cleo still hisses at Harri, but she hisses at
everybody. Harri actually did some playing with Tabitha and Sammy -
especially Sammy. Sammy is such a gentle soul - any time that Harri
hisses or growls, Sammy runs off. That can be a little bit of a problem,
as Harri sometimes growls at toys when she's playing with them.

Harri is getting quite acclimated to the house. I'm thinking that after
two or three more trips she just might decide that she prefers the
housecat life. We'll see what develops.

Having an orangy type resident here in Bonnie I was interested in your
photos.   They are just gorgeous - what wonderful markings.  Thanks for
sharing.

They're gorgeous, Dan!  Your Sammy looks a lot like my Jake; love that
raccoon tail!  And Harri resembles Seth (RB); she even has the little
white "glittery" trim on her swirls that he had.  Is she closer to brown
than orange, or is it just the photo?

You're a lucky man -- TWO orange cats!!

Depends on the light. Sometimes I think more orange, sometimes I think
more brown. While Sammy is definitely orange.

And I do feel especially blessed to be in service to both of them!

They do look a lot like each other. I suppose there's a size difference
now, but when Harri grows up, you'll have the twin problem - who is who?
It still surprises me that Harri is a girl; I've become so used to
regarding orange tabbies as male.
