Sootie's a tv addict

I had noticed that Sootie watched tv much more than either of my previous
cats. We have a home cinema system which has a pull down screen 4 foot six
high by eight foot wide. The bottom of the picture is about eighteen
inches from the floor. Sootie often sits infront of it and watches, her
head moving to follow the action.

As she is so interested, I found out the DVD designed for cats (Sophie was
not at all interested in it.) and put it through the tv.

Sootie was totally absorbed in it. Tapping the tv screen at the mice,
fish, birds, etc. Since then, she really is into tv. sitting on the end of
the to watch when we're watching at night. Even stopping the game of
chasing the ping pong ball to watch something that's caught her eye. It's
not just animals but even the news.

Friends at work have suggested that we set up a small tv for her to watch
while we're at work. While I think she would approve, we will not be doing
that.

She sounds like such an adorable little girl. I'm glad you found her.

She is absolutely wonderful. I am really, really glad I found her. I bore
all my work colleagues about her every day. Of course my friends there
love to hear about her as I love to hear about their fur friends.

That's what *we're* here for! :)

She's such a cutie.

Boyfie is not interested in the television but I did buy a video for cats
with lots of birdies, fishes and mousies on and played it for him.
Interest:  Zero

Miss Calico Girl fell in love with skating during the Olympics a few
weeks ago.  She laid down on her pillow on my bed and watched every move
the skaters made, especially the figure skaters.  curling was also fun,
mainly because of the yelling and the silly humans with brooms.

"[S]illy humans with brooms"?  Heidi wants to know if MCG has a penchant
for horror shows.

You know, I have no idea since I refuse to watch them.  I figure I've
had enough scary stuff happen over the years, I don't need more.  I'll
have to ask her.

Some time ago I found a video in a charity shop which was designed just for
cats, so I bought it to see if Boyfie would like it.
It was full of birdies and fishes and stuff that would  have interested him,
so I put in on when he was in.
Zero result. He didn't even glance at it. I guess he isn't a TV fan.

Try a video of *cats* (either domestic or wild). My cats were also
completely uninterested in bird-and-mice videos, but they were riveted
to shows about cats, kittens, cheetahs, leopards, etc - anything with a
feline form and feline movements. Well, that's not so surprising, is
it? We humans love to watch shows about humans after all.

What business is it of the state how consenting adults choose to pair
off, share expenses and eventually stop having sex with each other?

Sootie's tv viewing choice is varied. Last evening I settled down with a
glass of wine to watch a programme about things in the world we cannot see
with the naked eye. Lightening going upwards instead of down, insects on
water, spores flying off plants, etc. sootie came and sat on my lap.
(She's only done this twice before for about a minute each time, although
she does it all time when I'm sitting up in bed watching tv or reading) I
thought "It doesn't get much better than this. Then she started to watch
the tv. Jumped down, ran to sit in front of the tv and watched the whole
programme. I think she may have been a scientist in a previous life.

She was probably recording the whole show for her report to the
Mothership. Evidently, humans are finding out too much about things
we aren't supposed to know.

PS - she's so adorable!
