I really feel the need to lighten things up again, so I'd like to make an
observation that has me grinning right now.

Sammy, at almost 9 months old, is still sucking her toe.  She likes to get
on my lap, of curl up on the couch next to me so she can knead Mommy while
she's doing so.

The problem is that she is 13 pounds (~6 kilograms) and 3 1/3 feet (101.6cm)
long and she doesn't fit very well.  She'll turn around and then lay down
and stick her left back paw up to her mouth, but then most of her back is
hanging over into space and she starts to fall.  She'll get up, turn around,
and try again - only to have another part of her hanging over into space.
Several times she's been in the middle of a good toe suck when she's fallen
to the floor!

Poor girl, it "sucks" to be bigger in body than you are in mind!!!  ;>

That's too funny!  Persia never sucked her toe nor her tail.  But she
occasionally chases her tail, like it's something that just snuck up on her
and she didn't realize it was there!  I love it when she rolls over
grappling with it!

LOL, poor kitty, can you get that on film?  What about trying a blanket on
your lap and a (*ahem*) slighly wider stance?  ...To make her more stable?
Like Jill's cat, Chablis likes to chase her tail, round & round the
scratching post. I think she does it when she's bored & trying to get pumped
up.  Gods! they're cute creatures, aren't they?

Here's some of her sucking her toe a while back...

She's probably just 'resting up' a bit so she can go another 10 rounds
of flying through the air after a toy.

LOL!  That brings to mind my Louie.  Lastnight while I was in the
kitchen an empty Tyson Chicken box fell to the floor from the counter
top.  The box measures roughly 8" x 5" x 2" and Louie I guess figured
he'd look pretty smart inside of it.  He scooted that thing all over
the kitchen trying to get in, and clearly it wasn't going to happen.
He even gave it the ol' "Leave The Room And Come Back In 5 Minutes To
Try It Some More" approach, which didn't work either.

I mean good grief.  A small kitten would have trouble getting inside
of that box, and Louie is a big puss.  A big silly puss.

Jessie is like that - always trying to get into any box or bag left out, no
matter how small.  But what amazes me is the places she *can* squeeze
herself.  Granted she is very tiny (at least compared to Sammy), only about
5 pounds (2.267962 Kg), but she can squeeze herself into holes just inches
across!

At 9 months she's still got plenty of growing left to do, I wonder how
long it will take for her mind to catch up. ;-)
