Punish only the bad posts - don't punish the poster.

When a group starts to shun a poster across the board, rejecting even
their good posts, then it is no longer a decent, well-functioning
social group. What it becomes instead is a cult of personality, where
certain people become demonized, even when they're behaving well.

You should reward good behavior. You should never scapegoat people.
