Kreisleriana - 26 Dec 2004 01:54 GMT She is putting her clothes-things in that bag-thing now. She thinks just because I am full of treats an catnip I will take this lying down. Just wait. I'll teach her to pull a fast one on me again. Love, Stinky

Hey, just be glad she's not putting *you* in that other bag-thing! (Or box-thing...)

True. But no cat I've known has seemed to mind being thought of as such :^)

jmcquown - 28 Dec 2004 16:52 GMT > Adult cats are not young children. Methinks you need to lighten up a tad. At the risk of starting something here, you ask about things (like the Weasel Ball) and then don't seem to like the answers you get (as in, most respondents cats were afraid of them). If you don't want to know, please don't ask.
And most of us consider our cats our children. You will often find posts written in the third-person-cat.

Ah. Another one coming into the ng, and trying to rearrange the furniture. I don't give a damn what you think, my cat *is* my baby, and I will express that however I want. Especially here.

In all seriousness, I know I have managed to step on a few toes every time I've joined a new online discussion community, whether or not I've tried hard to get along. Switching from my gamer's IRC channel to this newsgroup and back again is quite a culture shock! Sometimes I forget to leave my sarcasm, cruel dark humor, etc at the door when I enter this place.
Then again, some people just like to cause trouble, and I get the feeling that's what John Doe's about.

He is the *only* person in my killfile. Most trolls I find somewhat amusing (even if just for their clumsiness and immaturity), but JD was getting just downright boring.

I've gotten so I compare all trolls to him for shear style, quality of trolling, and desperation. John Doe falls down in all respects.

He called us all a bunch of muu muu wearing old ladies and then we found out that he's got a diaper fetish and there were hundreds of pictures of him wearing diapers! I never laughed so hard :-) -- Britta Sandpaper kisses, a cuddle and a purr. I have an alarm clock that's covered in fur! I have a really warped sense of humor and I enjoy wierdness.

In another NG I read, the reaction was usually to grab hold of whatever the troll was accusing us of, and just run it into the ground for days. So when one troll called us a bunch of "pretentious cows" we were off and running. Every cow URL, every cow picture, every cow joke--- even the old "Cow-nonical List of ASCII cows" (remember those from the early Internet?)-- inundated the list. And years afterwards, when someone turns up who hasn't posted in awhile, we greet him/her with a "Moo."
