Our vet very kindly gave to our furkids a Christmas present - a water
fountain ! :^) Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Abbie crouched
in front of it. She is completely mesmerised by the sound of the water
flowing out of the spout, by the flowing water itself and the ripples
on the surface of the water in the bowl which are made as water flows
down a slope that ends in the bowl. Last night, after I'd set up the
fountain, Dee Dee immediately came running over to see what I'd done
and within a few minutes was drinking from its bowl. Soon afterwards
she was drinking from the spout. Then, she washed her left paw in the
bowl :^) Then her right :^) Our vet also gave *her* another
wonderful present, namely, the box in which the fountain was packed
:^) Dee Dee has decided that for now this is the perfect place to
chill out :^) LOL, Last night, when she thought I was attempting to
get her out of it, out came her claws and teeth :^) My right arm
bears
witness to her use of them :^)
From Peter, the gang and me we send you hopes that you are having the
happiest of days together with love and best wishes.
Love and best wishes.

Wow, you have a nice vet! That's a very classy gift. I'll bet your
kitties love it.
I keep meaning to make one for mine (but I have to learn how to make
it first, LOL!)

<g> As yet, only Dee Dee and Abbie have taken a drink from it while
it's been working. Sylvie's had a drink while it was switched off.
Jim's had a good look at it - from some 2 - 3 ft away. I don't know
whether any of our others have yet checked it out.

On the internet I've discovered one type on sale in the States for
around 30 dollars. If you like I'll send you the website address. To
send you a private email, I forget the kisses ?

LOL, yes. :) Thanks! Or you could just post it here, maybe others would
like to have it, too.

By her description it's a Drinkwell fountain. Persia adores hers. She
slurps out of the running spout and sometimes drinks from the bowl. Only
took her about 10 minutes before she was over checking it out because she
adores running water.

I'm getting the Stinkster one myself as soon as I get back. He just
liberated one of the socks that I put in the bag, and took it to
points in the basement unknown. <sigh> In spite of all, he's still
getting his Drinkwell.
