For those of you who celebrate it, a very merry Christmas!

My dear friend KK in Indiana's holiday box arrived today.  It's
usually about all I get except what I get for myself.  She has such
interesting things she finds!  She sent me some interesting teas, a
huge mug with kitties on it, a hand-made kitty brooch, a pretty little
bracelet, a t-shirt from her shelter's Pet Walk fundraiser, "The Joy
of Trek", a fairy Barbie, and toys for the kitties, of course.  And,
of course, my gorgeous quilt I won!  What a lovely bunch of things to
wake up to!

The kitties loved the mousies, of course, and I curled up in the
quilt.  I have made a rule:  no smoking under, on or near the quilt!
I see one burn spot on it, and I will kill someone!  ;-)  Cat puke is
exempted.

We're freezing here; it's about 10 degrees F.  At least the
snow/sleet/ugh has stopped.  Yesterday, power was out on High Street,
where poor DH had to go to pick up some groceries, my meds, and
prescription food for Cosmo.  The vet's office was closed because of
the power outage, and I just about freaked.  DH called with emergency
#s posted on the door, and I called and got the wife vet, who said the
hubby vet was on his way down to the clinic since the power had come
back on.  So I got Cosmo's food.  These poor vets probaby were
grumbling about me -- and they aren't even my vets!  I just get food
from them because they're close.  They're on my list of possible
future vets when mine retire, though, and they certainly came through
for me on this, so they're way up in my estimation!

Anyway, have a wonderful holiday weekend to all my rpca friends!
