Berfert is still with us, but it is a fight and a half to keep him
going. He doesn't want us to put any thing on him to get him warm,
fights being put into any warm place and has rejected any attempts to
pill him.
At least he's fighting. He got one of his fangs caught in Rob's afghan
and when Mike untangled it, bit Mike's thumb. I said that at least
Berfert is trying to get moisture, but Mike didn't find it funny. We're
giving him liquids and food by syringe, but it's slow going.
I tell myself that every day he fights and survives is another day that
he's got a chance. I don't think he's going to make it though, and have
the phone number and address of the ER vets all set up.
I really hope he fights through and wins, but it just doesn't seem likely.

Hang in there. I know what the worry is like. Berfert is a fighter and he's
loved, both of which can make the difference when having the will to fight an
illness.
There's a candle lit for Berfert on my window sill. Whenever I look at it, it's
a reminder to keep sending the good vibes berfert's way.

I've lit two candles, some incense and said a prayer (in my own way) for
Berfert.

I'm so sorry to hear about poor Berfert! I haven't been keeping up
this week, because I started two new jobs, but today's a holiday, so I
can catch up a bit, and hear this bad news. I can't picture you
without Berfert. Pam without Berfert would be like... TJ without
Dusty. Betty is purring up a storm for Berfert.

I have an extra big candle given to me by my cousins in California. It
is home made and very beautiful, just the thing to light for Berfert. I
know how you feel Pam.
Love and Purrs,

Oh Pam, I'm *SO* sorry to hear this. I've been absent from the group for a
while so hadn't heard about Berfert, but will catch up on purrayers (the
kitties have been purring all along, the mothership must have notified them
that there were kitties/people in need).
This doesn't seem to be your year either, sweetie - sigh. I hope things
start looking up for you in the new year. Our thoughts are with you.
Hugs,

Purrs are still coming from England for Berf. Let's just hope he makes it.
Give him a big skritch and tell him Kitty FC & Boyfriend are thinking about
him. (and I am thinking about you.)

Pam,
We're all pulling for Berfert. I have lit three Christmas candles called
Hollyberry. Hobbes, Selena, Lacey and Sam are in meatloaf position and
are purring loudly enough to vibrate. A beautiful black cat wandered
into our yard tonight (its only 30 degrees outside (-1 C), why is this
cat outside? Anyhow, I heated some brisket that I had left over and took
that and milk outside for the cat and the foxes. As I walked away I
looked around my yard, where I know the birds and squirrels and owls are
asleep, the bunny is probably sleeping and the foxes, raccoons and
possum are prowling along with the black cat. I called out, "Merry
Christmas everyone, sleep well". When the black cat came to eat I said
to it, "For the warm food in your belly please purr for Berfert". The
cat just sat and watched me until I went back inside and it began to
eat. So maybe, just maybe the Mothership will reward my feeding the
black cat by keeping Berfert alive long enough to fight off this nasty
bug he has. You have all the hugs and headbutts and purrs we can send.
Merry Christmas,
Julie, Hobbes, Selena, Lacey and Sam

Still sending purrs for Berfert. If he's fighting there is still hope.
