Cat Forum / Cat Anecdotes / December 2004Pan Fried Fish (aka She Came RUNNING)
I had a couple of very small tilapia fillets so I dredged them lightly with cornflake crumbs, sprinkled with salt & pepper. Browned them in canola oil. The minute the fish hit the pan (and no, it wasn't so hot it sizzled) Persia dashed from the back of the apartment, where she was cosily esconsed on the heated bed, to the kitchen. How do they KNOW? I gave her some of her gooshy Rx food and that seemed to satisfy her... at least until I settle down to eat some of it. I suppose I'll have to give Peaches one of my brussels sprouts, too. Persia got a taste of the fish - loved it! Darnit, I'm not supposed to feed her 'people food' but she's just so pitiful when I'm eating stuff like this.
