Nathan is nursing an aching right eyebrow. Why? A certain one-eyed black
ladycat's standard form of greeting on a hoomin that is sitting down is to jump
on said hoomin and give the hoomin a substantial headbonk in the region of the
eyebrow. Yesterday Waffles felt in need of greeting Nathan many times during
the course of the day...

Ow, she must really headbutt hard!!
Mischief just headbutts my shoulder but finds that the cold nose behind
the ear works more efficiently.

Aaack! Yes I know the feeling, or something similar. I have a
neighbor with a massive 24-pound tuxedo guy with a head like a
softball -- which anybody who plays softball knows, isn't all that
soft when it hits you. And one of his loving gestures was to aim the
bonk right at an eyebrow, too. ;)

What's with cats and headbonks? I've mentioned that Emily likes to be
thumped with a roll of paper towel on the bathroom sink counter. Often
when I stop this rather strange procedure and wash my face, just as I
get lathered up I feel this insistent and major "bonk!" My immediate
reaction of course is to open my eyes. (Do I hear a chorus of "Soap
Gets in your Eyes"?)
