Hi, it's Boyfriend here.

I want to ask you kitties, like Persia, Frank, Weebles and all you others
who have sweethearts worldwise what to do.
Tortie, one of Nan's furkids, said she wanted to be my girlfriend, and was
excited about it.  But you know what? <glum face>
She never posts me on rpca.  I asked about her recently and her meowmie said
she thought that Tortie had another as she was away a lot, so I guess it
means she doesn't want me after all.

I even sent my photo on the web so she could see I was quite nice, young,
handsome, and not a brash and pushy chap. I'm a good hunter too, I brought
my meowmie a vole this morning which she stood on in the kitchen when she
got up.  She didn't seem that pleased.  How ungrateful!

My question is this. I am only young and this is my first relationship.
Should I give Tortie a bit longer to realise I am perfect for her, or should
I start looking for another girl myself?

My heart is a bit sore.  I think I've been rejected.

Oh, poor Boyfriend.  I've never had a broken heart, so I don't know how that
really feel (maybe I do, since Persia was sent to da smelly place for TWO
WHOLE WEEKS and I couln't get any email from her during dat time), so I
cannot really tell you what you should do, but I *can* tell you dat Mimi &
Moe are available, if a bit young & not very knowledgable about dis innernet
thing (dey would rather chase mousies dan email :) ).  Lizzie & Smokey are
also available, but they said dat they are not innerested in having a
boyfriend.

Thank you for your reply Weeble.
You are obviously very experienced. I'll consider Mimi & Moe for when
they're a bit older then. What are they like, not just in looks but more
importantly are they kind girls?

I don't have *any* experience with that, being only about 4 or 5 months old.

Poor BF.  Stinky can't help you, since all he knows about  girls is
that they usually bop him.  But we send you purrs and skritches.

I'm sad, too, Boyfriend.  Tortie hasn't been home for almost 3 weeks
now.  I think she maybe went back to her old home  since there hasn't
been any sign of her around here.   4 of her babies are still here,
but no Tortie.

Thank you.  She was a very pregnant, friendly little girl when she
showed up on my doorstep.  She hung around until she had her babies
and had them all weaned.  Then she would be gone for 3 or 4 days at a
time until finally she didn't come back at all.

We'll be sending our best purrs that Tortie is ok, and that she'll
decide to spend more time with you.

Thank you, Dan and Harri.  I have a feeling that she went back to her
old home and they're keeping her inside.  I would have loved to have
been able to keep her inside, but Tigger wouldn't stand for it.  She
beat up on poor little Tortie every time that she could reach her.

Bonnie says she would love to be your girlfriend, but she's still
trying to woo Shamrock. He just chases her, but she clearly is head
over heals in love with him. She plops at his feet and does upside
downy head at him and rolls on her back with her feet in the air and
does goo goo eyes at him. He just ignores her until he wants to run
around the house for a bit.

I don't want a girl that is casting her eyes and heart at another.  I want a
girl that's faithful to me.

Dear Boyfriend,

If you were here I would be your girlfriend. I love everyone and I already
live with 4 other BFs. Actually I'm not sure if they're my BFs or my babies.
Anyway we're too far apart and I probably have my paws full as it is. I know
you will find someone closer. Just tell your meowmie to get some live-in
female feline company for you.

Your American Friend,

Baby Eyes

Hello Baby Eyes

I like your name.  I am looking for a girlfriend that doesn't live here, you
see I have Kitty Farmcat as a live in girl.  She hits me.  She doesn't want
to be my girlfriend and neither would she tolerate another girl here, she
barely tolerates *me.*
She is very fierce but I have to respect her because not only is she way
much older than me but she taught me to hunt.
Maybe even though you are in America you could be my girlfriend, Baby Eyes?
We could mail and send things?  What do you say?

I'm sorry to hear this, Boyfriend, but if she was such a flighty thing,
maybe you are better off without her. Take your time, nurse your sore
heart, and one day someone wonderful will come along, who will want to
stay with only you. You must just remember to keep your Meowmie at the
computer all hours of the day, so your soulmate doesn't get to slip by
without you noticing. Perfect your powers of telepathy so that you can
control her mind and get her to woo anyone you're interested in. It was
a lot of hard work getting my hoomin to send the proper messages to
Waffles, but finally I succeeded and now I have the most wonderful
ladycat girlfriend in the world.

Yours,
Frank

You are probably right.  She took my heart, though.

I have just posted to another kitty who might be interested in me.

That's the problem!  My meowmie, after being at home for a year, will be
going back to work.  AAArgh.  She will no longer be able to look at the
computer much.  I might miss my intended.

Thank you, Frank, for your advice.  If my meowmie goes back to work on 4th
January she won't have any time to find me a nice gentle girlfriend.
She says no way does she want another cat anyway.

>  Hi, it's Boyfriend here.

Mojo here with some advice from an old hand...

1. Long distnace relationships are always a problem, can be fun, but
don't expect too much. Instead, explore the world outside your cat door,
where you may find what you need. I'm not talking about Mrs Right
here, more Mrs. "Right now" :-)

2. Make the most of it while you can, before long your meowmie is almost
certainly going to take you to the TED. When you get back you'll be a
little lightheaded and feel like you are missing something. After that
your interest in comfy chairs and warm spots will grow rapidly and your
desire to meet girls will diminish. So if you haven't already had the
unkindest cut of all, make the most of it. Beleive me, you don't miss
your Mojo until it's gone and then it's too late!

She already did that.

I still like to go out a lot!

Not yet, heh.

Meowmie took me to the vet to have my nuptials slashed a few months ago.  I
promised her that I had never done anything naughty to a girl cat, but she
still made me go.  I cried all the way there and all the way back.
