I haven't been able to manage much computer time lately as DH and I have
started house hunting to go along with all the Christmas shopping and
whatnot.  He's been bit by the "I want a house" bug (which is closely
related to the "I want puppies" bug, DH being a self-proclaimed d*g person)
and the infection is apparently spreading :)

As there is no chance of my ever catching up and both kitties have been
purring up a storm lately, we send out mega-purrs to all those in need and
we'll try to keep up as best we can.

On a sad note, my sister's kitty Sam made his journey to the bridge on
Wednesday.  She says he was very brave and she misses him lots.  The growth
in his neck was diagnosed as lymphoma and although he was receiving steroid
shots to try to slow the growth he was finding it increasingly difficult to
sleep and when he started to breathe only through his mouth early Wednesday
morning she decided it was time.  (Her vet had said that cats will go to
great lengths to avoid breathing through their mouth.  It was determined
that his sinus cavity was pretty well taken over by the cancer)

On a brighter note:
My mom, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in early January has finished
treatments and received an "all clear" from her doctors.
My SIL, who after having her first child has had three miscarriages in the
first trimester, has announced that she's pregnant and due in June.  DH
hopes she has a girl who will wrap my brother around her little finger just
like I did to my father :)

Joe (DH), Gossamer, Jeeves and I wish all of you a happy, healthy holiday
(whichever one(s) you celebrate) and offer special comforting purrs for
those of you who are missing lost loved ones more than ever at this time of
year.

You too, Elise. So sorry to hear about Sam. Condolences and purrs to
your sister.
