You guys forgive me, but any of you know that either kids or cats that look
particularly cute when they're asleep, you can't help taking their picture.
Even if the kid is 27 years old. Just wanted to show you all the pic.

And the "How Many Cats do You Sleep With" thread reminded me I had this
picture. He's hard to find, but Roscoe is actually in the picture, you can see
his head in the crook of her arm, at Orion's back.

Thanks for looking!

That's so adorable!  Orion's expression is that contented smile that
just makes me melt.

That tiny snout?  So cute!  Also cute is the orange boy sleeping face
down.

Yes, that tiny snout! The orange boy is Ernie. He's a polydactyl named after
Ernest Hemmingway. He was a rescue (literally. He was in the cat carrier in the
euthanasia room at Animal Control, potbellied, wormy and sick with URI). Here's
Ernie's baby picture:

How nice to see him all grown up!  I was wondering if he was the poly,
and was looking at his little mittens to see if I could see extra
toes. :)  They look normal from that angle.

What a cute baby.  There's just something about orange poly boys.;)

Potbellied, wormy, and sick with URI?  That sounds like half the kittens we
take in!
Ernie's baby picture is just too cute!  His paws look way too big for him :)

By the way, Oscar is humongous!  Maybe your daughter should be
sleeping on top of him instead of the other way around. :)

Adorable! Beautiful kitties. Orion looks *very* comfy and contented in
the first pic.

Your daughter is 27?? She looks about 13 in that picture. :)
(You might not want to tell her I said that, though. I look very young
for my age, and while I now enjoy that, I sure hated it at age 27!)

It can change, too.  I looked about 15 years younger than my age for
years, and caught up with myself all of a sudden.  I was pretty smug
before that, let me tell you.

I love pictures like these.  Everyone looks so contented and happy.  And,
Ernie as a kitten was one of those major-awwwwwww cuties.

Thanks Mary. Ernie is a neat cat. He was a rescue that backfired. I really
thought if I nabbed him from Animal Control, I could find a home for him,
becuase people seem to want polys. We got a home for him, but the lady brought
him back because her cat hated him. She wouldn't even try any longer. So my
daughter took him for the interim. It looks like he's going to be a permanet
resident. Orion hates him. That's the real reason for the picture...Orion
always has to be closer to Jamie than Ernie. He's a big old clingy baby.

AAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.  Can you post the picture, for those of us that are new
and for those of us who just couldn't believe it the first time, of your
daughter holding out gargantu-cat (AKA Orion)?  LOL

What??!! Did someone ask for a picture of my grandcat? (pulls out 6-foot
accordian photo holder). Here are my two favorite ones.
http://members.aol.com/sriddles/o.jpg
http://members.aol.com/jjrich0523/jamieorion.jpg
These are 2 or 3 years old. He was fairly slim, then, about 17 lbs. I would
guess he is closer to 25 now, but he's not fat at all. He doesn't eat very
well, he's real picky. If he was a piggy eater, he would be huge.
Thanks for asking!

Yep, those are the ones I was talking about - thanks!  I never cease to be
amazed at the size of that grandkitty, amazing, and amazingly beautiful, er,
handsome!!!  ;>

LOL, just wait. Sammy is going to catch up, I just know it. Orion was so
scrawny when he was Sammy's age, not near as big as her. It was pre-digital
camera, but someday I want to borrow someone's scanner and show you the pics
when he was that age.

Oh my, that's scary to think about - she's destructive enough now at 13
pounds, I hate to think about what she could do is she were as big as
Orion!!  ;>

He is  a BIG boy!  I thought TuTu was big a5 15 1/2 pounds.  His tummy
doesn't look too fat.  TuTu is a mixed tabby with a white underbelly and
four white feet.  I can't pick her up, but that is probably just me.  MLBN

What I like is how relaxed he looks (in the first one, anyway ;)).
What a cuddly armful!

I can see the family resemblance (daughter to you, not cat).

Billy's gonna be that big too. And soon!
