I visited the kittens today. OMG! The cute little fuzzbutts! One of them
squeaked like crazy when you picked her up, and another girl will
probably be the worst hoolikitten in the litter. She is the largest, and
she was quite happy to lay on my hand (yes, she fit in the palm of my
hand) and suck on my finger. Awww! The good news is, while I was there,
Kira ate three handfuls of kibble out of my niece's hand, so she seems
to be getting her appetite back. She also nursed the babies most of the
time I was there. I took a few pictures:

What cute pictures!  I like their tiny ringed tails.  How good that
Kira is on the mend.  Is she less anxious about visitor hoomins
handling this litter, since they've been hand-fed?

Yes, she's not nearly as protective of these babies as she was with her
first litter. Oh, and I forgot to mention that she will, indeed, be
apayed after these kittens have been weaned.

They're so stripey! I've been following the thread, so I know they
won't stay that way, but I love the back of their heads, with dark
little stripes running down them.

Kira looks totally exhausted in pic #3. I guess I would, too if I
had 5 children!

I hope no-one is getting fed up with blue kittens. ;o) My niece posted
some more pictures. Very nice close-ups of the kittens. Aww! They do
look like little bear cubs, with their ears still down like that. And
they all have their mother's knobbly nose.

I never have enough kitten pictures.  As soon as I regain
consciousness, I want more! ;)

Theresa, you gotta stop dropping like this.  You could hurt someone that
way.

Ohmygawd, I think I've gone blind from all that cuteness!!  Even with Sammy
waiting at home for me I'm *still* getting a serious case of kitten fever!

How could anyone possibly get fed up with blue kittens?
