A friend send me this picture, which I put on my website so you
all can see it:

Can this possibly be a genuine photo? I suspect Photoshop was
involved somewhere along the line. Well, it's pretty cute, whether
or not it ever happened in real life just like this...

Of course it happened! Have you no faith? Do you tell little kids
that there is no Santa Claus? I am deeply offended, sheesh ;-)
I for one am a believer in the Kitten Rug and I worship it's cuteness.

Sandpaper kisses, a cuddle and a purr. I have an alarm clock that's
covered in fur!

But getting the kittens into that position (note that they make a
flat, pentagonal shape on the floor), and keeping them just like that,
with no holes in the "rug" and nobody getting up while you ready the
camera for the shot, would be like... HERDING CATS!
Or else you'd need drugs.

That's OK, dear, everyone needs something to believe in. :)

Having just come home from visiting a kitten rug like that (though with
only five kittens), I say, "Yes, it is possible." :o) Pictures coming up
soon.
