They have such sharp hooky claws and they play so rough so I thought
today is the day. They were so good. :) I got most of the front claws
and only took off the tip because kitten claws are just so darn
small. Now the kittens are getting used to having to work a little
harder at hanging on things (like me) to gain "footage". lol I was
never able to trim Shadow's claws, ever, and Shamrock squirms too
much that I'm afraid I'll hurt him, so TED does it. Bonnie, well, I
can't even hold her so TED does hers, too. I'm hoping to get the
kittens used to it so I can do their's as needed.

I'm sure if you keep at it, they will be used to it and you'll be able
to do it for the rest of their lives. I've clipped Vino since he was
about 8 weeks old and he doesn't mind at all. I usually give him his
"cattitude adjustment" every 2-3 weeks.

Sandpaper kisses, a cuddle and a purr. I have an alarm clock that's
covered in fur!

Not necessarily. Lynxie didn't mind getting his claws clipped as a
kitten, but now as an adult I can't get through more than one and a half
paws before he starts growling.
Sometimes he'll let me finish, only growling and not trying to stop me.
But other times he'll pull his paws away, try to bite me, or simply move
around so much I can't do it safely. (don't want to accidentally hit the
quick)
Luckily I can still do it.. but cats sometimes become intolerant of
things as they grow up, it seems. }:)
