Waffles peturbed

Waffles has been a real PITA this afternoon and this evening. Talk about limpit
& needy. I was getting ready to go out & she was constantly at me, wanting
attention, meowing, purtring, headbutting, following me about the house. Being
a general worry-wart "Meowmie's going out! No! No!" I went to a meeting in
Dereham tonight, so I thought I'd cycle there instead of using the car. It's
been a while since I've done some night cycling as opposed to dusk cycling, so
I was in my standard "The Mothership has Landed" get-up of multitudinous lights
& acres of reflectives. As I cycled through Dereham town centre, a local spotty
yoof spotted me and I got a good-natured "F!!!ing h*ll! You're not going to get
run over dressed like that!" I laughed & said that that was the general idea
;-) Yoof went on his way smiling. Anyhow, got to meeting, attended meeting &
then cycled home. Was She Who Must Be Obeyed in a right royal stink about me
going out, and boy has she let me know. As I was putting the bike away in the
garage, she follwoed me and all the time I was in there I had this black-furred
*nag machine* yowling her head off and weaving between my feet. As I walked
back into the house, the yowling nag machine kept on yowling at me. I mean,
it's nice to know she's missed me, but I was only gone for three hours. As soon
as I sat down she jumped on my knee, started to perform acupuncture on my
thighs and purr - loudly.

Perhaps she objects to me leaving the house with enough lighting & reflectives
to illuminate a football stadium ;-)

Cheers, helen s

Yup ;-)

Perhaps this evening she had a queenly strop in the style of Elton John ;-)

Another thing Waffles and Frank have in common. Frank hates it when I go
out in the evening. When I leave for work in the morning, he couldn't
care less; he hardly opens an eye or cocks an ear when I say bye-bye to
him (of course, I always say bye-bye. Sometimes he even has to endure a
cuddle before I leave). But if I'm getting ready to leave in the
evening, he circles me, looking worried and mewling at me.

Hee hee.  You can't break routine.  Stinky gets very agitated if I lie
down and fall asleep on the couch in the daytime.  He starts poking
and prodding me.

Since I've been unemployed, Persia has *no* idea when I may or may not leave
the house.  She's adapted very well to giving me a big sigh when I put my
shoes on and getting into her "I'll wait right here for you" meatloaf
position by the couch.  Sometimes she's sitting on the front windowsill
watching/listening for my car.

When it comes to naps, she climbs up and has to nap with me.

Wilson is usually very quiet till I wake up, but the other morning.I'd
had a restless night and decided I would have a bit of a sleep in.
Wilson was ok as I was getting back to sleep, then, and as if he suddenly
realised what i was doing, he attacked my ankle "get up you lazy hoomin"
so I did, didn't notice till I got in the shower though that he actually
drew blood.
I think next time I cut his nails, I'll give his teeth a little file
whileI'm at it.

Maybe this was what Waffles was all bent out of shape about? She thought
you *were* the Mothership?

May I ask, what is a "spotty yoof"? :) I do not believe that expression
has ever been uttered in the United States of America. :)

This sounds like just another normal day with Licorice!

Aww - she just wanted a little reassurance.

I think she was confused. "Why has the Mothership landed and what did it
do to my mommy?"
