In the USA the doctor that treats pets is called a veterinarian, and we
commonly say we took the cat to the vet. I see references on this group to
taking the cat to TED that sounds like the same thing.

The Evil Doctor *is* the vet. We figure the cats see this person as
evil incarnate, so TED is from the cat's POV. :-)
