I was checking my work email this morning when I noticed movement out of
the corner of my eye. I focused just in time to see Maya trip over a
vase full of flowers, which promptly crashed into dozens of glass
shards. Not a good way to start the morning. So I rushed to grab my
sandals to start cleanup and I thought I felt something slightly moist
inside my sandal, but given the circumstances, I paid no attention to
it. After cleanup has finished, I sat down to have my breakfast and read
the paper. Imagine my surprise when I look down at my food and I see
kitty barf spread all over my foot! Ick. I hopped to the kitchen to grab
a paper towel to clean myself and then went to look at my sandal. No
exterior sign of barf. But neatly tucked *inside* was indeed half a
kitty barf. How on earth did they manage to barf the inside without
touching the outside is beyond me. Oh yeah, I forget. Practice makes
perfect. And they have daily practice.

Willow tests gravity with everything. I always have fresh flowers and she
had reduced me to buying plastic (ugh) vases. Trying to clean glass and
keep three cats out of the mess got to be too much. I can't buy red
carnations because O. T. EATS them and them only.

No fresh flowers here either. Molly, who is normally either out or
well behaved simply must stand on her back legs and hug the blossoms
while sniffing them.

Awww!
I never have fresh flowers, either. Both cats are way too interested in
them, and sooner or later they pull the vase over, possibly dropping it
to the floor.

I can't have flowers or even plants in my house - they would all want
to eat them. The only thing I have growing in my place is cat grass. (Oh,
and probably something nasty in the fridge...)

Weird Al has a song called "Living in the Fridge." Very funny and the kids
say that it is based on Rob's cooking.

That's because he's a cat of good taste. Or is that red carnations just
taste good? You must try some of several colors and report back to us,
Granby?

Nope, just the red ones, I grow pale pink ones and white but the red ones
he loves. I bought "museum paste" that rubbery stuff you can hold things
down with to put on the bottoms of the vase Last Holiday I had a Amaryllis
(?) that had 5 blooms on a stem, kind of rare and Willow tested gravity with
it, almost lost her happy home.

That`s what immediately came to my mind - a life full of practise.<gg>
I can`t use any vases. They have to stay in the cupboard.<sigh>
Oh yes - every year once at my birthday I get flowers - have to put
the vase and flowers in it on a tall wardrobe where no cat has managed
ever to climb up.
But there the flowers get forgotten. And every fall I put the vase and
dry flowers down.<sigh>Anyway - I love the flowers in my garden.
There`s the right place for them.

That is talent. Please don't let them give advanced lessons to the rest of
the gang. Mine are good enough at target shooting, thank you.

Sorry - I laughed.
I got a foot full yesterday. Big barf, which I caught, earlier. Tiny
little one right where my feet go under the computer table.
