Nanki-Poo went to TED for his follow-up visit today. The doctor says he
is now a healthy cat, except for a small scratch on his nose, which may
have been inflicted by Lindy. He weighs 8 3/4 pounds! When I first got
him, it was 8 1/4. Then, when he was so sick and not eating, he lost
about a pound. As you can see, he's been doing a good job since he
started eating again.
I've been letting him roam free in the house, with the cat door locked.
He still spends some time in "his" room, but seems pretty comfortable
with the rest of the house too. He and Lindy have an occasional
confrontation. I would have said they were all no-contact, except for
the scratched nose. He definitely isn't intimidated by her any more.

Hooray for Nanki! Maybe he was more intimidated before because he wasn't
feeling well? (In addition to being new to your place.)
Glad it's such good news!!

Now, see, I had to come hear looking for an update. And good news
it is. Glad to hear Nanki is not only better but healthwise but
doing well with Lindy too.

Yay! So glad that he is doing so well. Purrs that Lindy accepts him soon.

Thank you, Marina. I think he's starting to do the little brother
thing - he will get close to where she is lying and stare at her while
she complains bitterly. I'd say he's no longer intimidated, but he'd be
better off ( or at least Lindy and I would be) if he'd back off a bit.
He seems to be feeling his oats. I hope they both mellow out soon.

I'm sure they will. At some point, Lindy's going to decide the kid
needs some discipline and smack him and they'll work out their
relationship.

Yes, I imagine that's what will happen. I think he was intimidated at
first because he was sick, and now he's getting even.
