A woman whom I saw many, many times bringing kitties and taking kitties from the vet and who volunteered ceaselessly for our local rescue, The Cat House, died this weekend in a car accident. She was supposed to play Santa at this weekends cat adoption event at Petco. It's terrible when someone dies so unexpectedly - especially around the holidays. It's going to be very tough for their families. Car accidents are the most senseless things I know of that takes a life, or more than one. They happen more and more and why? Don't get me started. I see it every day and even the fender benders are just senseless to me. Everyone needs to S L O W D O W N and Karen, this isn't a message to anyone in particular, it is a vent that is going to drive me to the funny farm one day. Sorry, I got carried away. Purrs. Purrs. It was very tragic. In this case it was black ice on a bridge. I know that I myself prefer to err on the side of caution when a snow storm comes through, but so many people just don't.
