I had an odd dream this morning (probably from eating cheese the
previous night, it does that).  I have a friend who does computer-
assisted teaching in language and literature.  In the dream she had
a new project, making videos of traditional Scottish storytellers
and then adding tags to the videos marking out elements of the tale
according to Vladimir Propp's system (look it up).  So far, this is
a perfectly reasonable academic project.  You might even get funding
for it.

But she was keen to incorporate a folktale purred by Splodge, and
wanted him to purr to the camera for half an hour or so so she could
analyze his yarns as well.  I'd just spent a long time combing and
brushing him to look immaculate for the filming and had tucked him
under my arm to get on the train to Glasgow when I woke up.

LOL - I like that! I dream about my cats, too, although I must say my
cat dreams are never this lucid.

LOL! Now, that would be an interesting project. How often have we wished
that they could talk so that we could understand them?

They can, and we can. It's just the language and method of
communication is non-vocal. I truly believe that cats are
telepathic animals. So are humans, it's just not so
well-developed.
