Granby - 16 May 2008 00:06 GMT I am going away for an overnight meeting. I thought I would be smart and only pack things tonight that didn't hold cat hair. Well, I put my shoes and that sort of thing in the suitcase on the bed. By the time I got home from work today.....It looked like a tri color cat had moved into it. Somedays, you just can't win.

You have to pack a reminder of the furry ones. Don't you know that?!

I can't win around here. Molly doesn't shed much but has a full variety of colors (calico) when she does. Kayla sheds black fur on anything light and white fur on anything dark. Jake the meezer isn't too bad. They tend to blend in. Well, except for the red chair he likes to shed/sleep on.
Kayla throws in muddy footprints when all else fails.
We keep the 'lint' roller right next to the door so anyone that cares can de-fur on their way out.
Jo
Granby - 16 May 2008 06:05 GMT I should have stock in the lint roller company.

And you know what would happen, there. LOL.

Chloe is a tuxedo (black & white) and so is her littermate, Tyrone. Pua is all white. It would be an interesting test. :~)

felinesopher - 16 May 2008 20:34 GMT wow...LOL :D
when I travel, my cats always know when I'm about to leave, starring & being curious eyes at me packig things, follow me everywhere I go in the house, etc. Last but not least, always sniff & try to hop in my travel bags;) and if they manage to go inside it, they love to sleep inside it....hehehehe, they just dont want me to leave & want them to bring along with me;
I feel terrible though if I have to leave home for few days out of town...
what a cat power:) http://felinesophy.blogspot.com

Well, lets see. Tanada, Qui Gun Kit: Black and white. Merlin, Pine Cone: Grey/brown tabby and white. Easy, you'd think. They color coordinate. White fur on the dark clothing, black fur on white or light colored stuff. QC: rich brown tabby and medium beige tummy. Fur shows up even against brown fabrics. Brindled colored (multiple colors on each hair). Sonya: Grey and white Tuxedo. The closest to matching any fabrics we have around here. Her favorite place to sleep? A burgundy and cream colored quilt. She also likes my burgundy colored sheets and pillow cases. Huey: Yellow tabby and white. I actually see his fur less than the others. I haven't figured it out yet. Maybe Sonya over grooms him or something. Miss Calico Girl: dilute tortie and white. Beautiful cat with multi colored fur hairs. She leaves fur on my pillow. I am loved. Wamsee, fur only flies when the other cats decide that she's hogging the best sleeping place. I don't see it very often as she is not very active.
However this morning I found her sleeping on the floor and Pine Cone sleeping on her bed. He overflowed it. He was very content, until I pointed out to him that this was not his bed. He stomped out of the room, leaving me to deal with an empty night stand (I found my glasses in my magazine rack where I store my reading material) QC sacked out on my desk, with the lap top halfway off the top of it, MCG hiding under Rob's desk. I slept through what must have been a wonderfully loud and active party. Merlin was sacked out in the door to my room, Tanada was sleeping on my printer and Huey was laying on Rob's legs. A very active room.
Pam S. who doesn't care if anyone sees her protective coating of feline fur

LOL, Wamsee is just a female type cat. I take her with me when I travel now. She's seen the beaches of Wilmington North Carolina, and her purring helps me sleep. She's a good girlcat.

Marina - 17 May 2008 04:12 GMT > I'd have to pack black and white clothes, then! And you know what would > happen, there. LOL. Yeah. I mostly wear black, and even when I had two mostly black cats, I was always covered in white hairs. A brown tabby with white and a grey cat are no improvement.

Kind of sounds like you put stuff into the suitcase, and then left the suitcase *open* all day. I'm sure it's written somewhere in the Universal Feline Code of Behavior that an open suitcase is a de facto invitation to hop in and get comfy. *Especially* if it has some stuff in it. And now you're surprised to find that cats have been shedding on your stuff in there? :)
If you did not leave the suitcase open, I think you need to be very afraid. :)

She can hit the 30 seconds button. At least I can wipe off the steam and do a little cleaning when she does it. She can turn on the puter, the printer, and change the station on the radio.

Piglette is one talented owner. Can you get any of this on video? I'd love to see this on YouTube.
Tanada is my monkey pawed cat. She can only turn off the clock alarm, connect to the internet, turn on the TV, open some doors, and turn on the water tap in the kitchen. She used to be able to answer the phone, but we changed phones and she hasn't figured out the buttons yet. Neither have I.
Pam S. impressed.
Stormmee - 18 May 2008 16:14 GMT make OEJ calling you on the phone sorta tame, Lee

Never picked up any good gossip though!!!

Never picked > up any good gossip though!!! I did this to my FIL once. We were getting ready to cross country to visit them and they refused to have us in the house if we brought Mandy's boyfriend, Jim, along. I was explaining to Jim that Rob's parents weren't known for fair play, even though I love them dearly. We heard a squawk from our cell phone and Rob picked it up and found his dad on it. His dad spent the next few minutes explaining to Rob that although he didn't hear our conversation, Rob didn't need to worry about using a cell phone near a gas pump. We were in the process of putting gas in the van at the time. Right he didn't hear my big mouth. What set the phone off? I am not sure, but the cell phone was between the seats and I'd just dropped some change and was picking it up while talking to Jim. I think I'd hit the send button in my search, or I dropped a coin on it. Father in Law never said a word about it to anyone. He can be a jerk, but he is an honest and fair one.
Pam S. who is also a jerk.

That way Persia doesn't get freaked out by the sight of a suitcase and I have the appropriate amount of kitty fur on my clothes when I travel. It works ;)
