Out most heartfelt prayers for the people in this area.
My sister-in-law in Cocoa has been told to be prepared to evacuate. The
danger of fire is the worse danger of course but the smoke and difficulty in
breathing is awful.
Prayers for the safety of all involved.
My husband is a truck driver, major roads go through the area, traffic is
diverted far and wide playing havoc with his and other peoples schedules.
The traffic is now thicker on the smaller roads and visitors are lost.
Tempers are short.
David is going to Georgia tomorrow and is glad!
There are very big Wildlife Areas there also. Major concerns for the
animals.
Matthew, I hope you are okay. Alison, how about you? Any other Floridians
in the threatened areas? Please check in.

I've heard Cocoa Beach is about to get evacuated and you're correct about
all the Wildlife Preserves in that area. It's completely devastating. I'm
in Central Florida and we get nailed by fires all the time. I'm expecting
us to be next. It's so dang dry! Our state is in trouble.
OB: Dr. Evil just dropped a bomb. Ugh. I wish we could set up my computer
somewhere else. Yikes. I've got to clean the box or I'm going to be sick.

mile away from my house
Halifax humane society had to evacuate the other day it was right in the
path of the fire they got every four leg out and moved them to Volusia
county fairgrounds

I'm pretty far from the Palm Beach fire which is the largest. The Daytona
one hasn't threatened us yet but it's made DHs commute rather nasty as they
have closed some main roads. We're supposed to get smoke from one of them
over I4 for the ride home but all of this is minor compared to what other
Floridians are going through. We have the cat carriers where we can get to
them quickly if we have to evacuate but chance of that looks slim right now,
unless another one starts. Everything is soooo dry.
Prayers for everyone affected.
