Sorry if this got posted twice:

Our Pookie Cat is an avid eater of cellophane.  Or he tries to be.
We grab it away from him before he eats it.  I have no clue why he does
this.
He also likes to try and eat the paper from the shredder when I dump it.
He gets enough fiber from his foods.  And has lots of toys and nip.
Does anyone else have this thing going on with one of your cats?
Right now, he's laying on DH's lap on the couch and kneading my legs,
and purring.
OWCH, well, I guess today is manicure day for the four of em <G>
Hmmm.  Pookie is almost 4 years old, 'married' and has a daughter.
Now, after the' birth' he's been 'fixed'.
His daughter, Pipps, is about 3 years old.

Tyrone (Dr. Evil) does the same thing with plastic bags!  He loves the sound
of them, rolls around in them and then tries to eat them!  If I leave any
grocery item in a bag on the table when I come home from the store and
immediately have to use the bathroom, he considers that bag fair game.
That's why we call him... (duh duh duh) .... Dr. Evil.  :~)

I heard that plastic grocery bags are manufactured with some kind of
fish oil. (I read
this on the internet, so you know it's true :-)  :-)   :-)
I wonder. I've heard of lots of cats who are bag-lickers.
Frank's favorite thing in the whole world is to crawl into a
drycleaner bag or
some other kind of clear bag. I think he thinks it's like an FBI
interrogation 2-way mirror.
He can see us, but we can't see him.
Honestly, he's so crazy about them I have to take the bags off the
clothes and take
them straight outside to the trash bin.

It could be worse.  I have known a cat who preferred to pee on any
plastic bags he found.

All 4 of mine love plastic bags.  When they've been emptied, we keep them in
a cupboard, for use when I dispose of the litter and such, and they love to
go into the cupboard and play with them.
Cats are  so funny:)

Fugazi and Isis used to eat cellophane and throw up shortly afterwards almost
like it was grass (we grew some cat grass for them and they didn't touch it)

Dunzi has been known to settle down for a good chew on a carrier bag- she
gets quite into it and annoyed when you take it away from her
