The vet's office where I boarded Persia & Peaches just called to ask how they're doing! Um, they're fine, thanks. Okay, we just wanted to make sure. Is this weird or what? Peaches is chomping on a slice of apple; Persia is staring at me (maybe hoping I'll open the freezer again so she can grab that chuck roast and haul it off to the closet). That happened years ago when I would pet sit for people to go on vacations. When they returned, I after having their furry friends for a week or two, I would be lost not knowing how they were. Maybe they just want to be nice? Or it's just one of those "personal touch" things some businesses do, to ingratiate themselves to their clients. I think it was a nice gesture towards long term residents that they have got fond of. Apparently grey girls are somewhat rare. Of course I said no, I'm keeping her. Is this weird or what? I don't think it's weird at all. They had them there for a long time, I guess they got to like them more than most who are in for 2 days. After all, you did board them for quite a long stretch of time - I'd say it's a sign of a caring vet to check on how they're responding to being home again. (Okay, so maybe it's a way of courting your business, too, but so are sympathy cards when you have to have an animal PTS, but that doesn't make them any less appreciated by grieving pet-owners.) > The vet's office where I boarded Persia & Peaches just called to ask how > they're doing!
