Frank is really settling in. He likes to be picked up, petted and to get
tummy rubs. He talks to me all the time. He sits next to me on the couch.
Here he got to my seat first so I subjected him to a photo shoot. Later he
found the bed waiting for clean sheets and did what cats do with bunched up
blankets. He is only just starting to sleep on the bed while I am at the
computer so I expect some day he will try jumping up there while I am using
it but he hasn't yet.

Lyle _is_ getting better. He comes to me all by himself (without Frank)
and looks for petting but he is still much more skittish than Frank. If I
move too quickly or just the wrong way he runs to the other room. He does
come back pretty soon though. He comes into the bedroom on a regular basis
to play with a string toy that hangs there or go under the bed for a few
minutes but not much longer than that. Since he is progressing I am not
really worried.

Beautiful pictures. Frank reminds me of a cat I once knew called Oscar. This
is a picture of him sitting on my lap during one of his visits.

He _does_ look like Frank. Frank and Lyle have given me greater
appreciation of the world of stripes! I keep trying to capture all those
suttle swirls of color with mixed results.

Nice shots Andy - love the little nose sticking out of the blanket! I'm
so glad that your boys are coming along so well. Way to go!

Yep, one of my favorites.

Yes, the nosey picture is cute. He does have lovely markings, and looks
so relaxed and at home. Lyle will surely come along in time. Having said
that, it took Nikki over ten years to become a lap cat. Miranda isn't
one more than once in a blue moon.

Those cats have some seriously beautiful markings. You're making haste
slowly, and that is a good thing. Lyle will get there and Frank will be
joining you in bed in no time. We're still working with Miss Calico Girl,
and sometimes the improvement seems infinitesimal.

I really love their markings too. I think the slow progress will work
out well for us both in the long run. I think our cats will be more
attached to us having taken their time. I hope that is true anyway!

I don't believe in luck or coincidences, I believe in real people who care
and circumstances, so from my belief system you are reaping what you sow, a

one of my Dad's best slices of advice " G*D doesn't punish those who do
their best" so you will get rewards, Lee
