I'm sad to report that the third of Miss Emily's kittens has gone
missing as well.
Miss Emily has been more affectionate, and tries harder to come inside
since her last kitten disappeared. I try to spend more time sitting
with her and talking to her, and she takes to it well - sitting in my
lap and purring while I pet her, and snuggling up.
She always was a sweet little girl, but she's being especially sweet
lately.
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

My goodness! What's happened to her kittens?! Do you live in an area that
is particularly dangerous? Predators? I feel so bad for Miss Emily :(

Do you think they wondered off, carried off or what?

Likely they were carried off. We have a lot of wildlife here: raccoons,
possums, other cats, dogs, carniverous june bugs...

That is very sad. But I think in the long run, it's harder for us than
for the mother cat who's lost her babies. They don't have as long
memories as we do. If I were in your situation, I'd remember these lost
kittens for the rest of my life. I think Miss Emily has it a bit easier,
though. She's grieving now, but she'll be feeling better in short order.
It will soon be a good time to have her spayed.
Purrs,

What you don't have a bathroom/spare room or something? Better that the
kittens get killed and eaten one by one than god forbid upset your cats
by having a cat and her kittens in your bathroom/spare room for a while
until you find some other home for them all. Loser. It's all your fault
that her kittens are dead.
