We put a halter and leash on Hunter and "walked" him around the house for a
few minutes last night - being careful not to lead him close to the rest of
the clowder (he still has to be quarantined for about 5 more weeks to make
sure he's negative for FIV/FeLV - just a precaution, I'm sure).  I think
this is helping, especially with Sammy.  She can see him (he's no longer
just a mystery smell or noise) but he can't chase her, so she feels safe in
satisfying her curiosity about him.  Of course it was only for a few minutes
and everyone got praised and treats for being such good kitties.  I'm hoping
that doing this every day will help slowly get everyone used to seeing each
other so that when they do get the chance to interact they'll already "know"
each other and it won't be so scary for them.

I will also mix his odor around a bit more which should also help.  Poor
Sammy; too bad she doesn't know how big she is.

Sounds like a plan to me.  Keeping up the purrs for Sammy to chill.
