My good boy

I took Caliban in for his booster shots today. His vet is so sweet and
always chirps so cheerfully to him. She couldn't praise him enough for
being such a heazlthy, friendly, charming and active (he never stays
still on the exam table) kitty. He is about 100 grams heavier than last
autumn, but the vet said he is at his perfect weight now. This meowmie
was so proud of him.

Of course, the trips to and from the vet's on the bus were not so great.
We had a huge fight to get him into the carrier, during which he snagged
my lip and it bled profusely, as lips are wont to do. Then he complained
all the way on the bus. But he seems to have forgiven me the minute we
got home.

He tried to give himself some treetz. I came home from grocery shopping,
set my backpack on a chair and started unpacking. Put something into the
fridge and turned back, and Caliban had dug out a bread bag, took it in
his mouth, and was just jumping to the floor with his catch when I saw
him. LOL. He looked like a tiger carrying an antilope in his mouth. The
trouble is, I can't get mad at him.

Shows how sweet he really is.  And I'll bet your lip even still hurts, but
he's forgotten he did that.

Your vet chirps? :)

(You don't have to explain, I just thought that was funny. I imagine
a vet has to make all sorts of interesting sounds to help calm down
their patients!)

He's such a cute boy! No wonder you're proud of him.

The suffering one does for the sake of the masters... purrs for the lip!

Of course!

She talks babytalk to him in this very high-pitched voice. Usually, I
don't like that sort of thing, but somehow she does it in a very
charming way. Sounds like chirping to me. :)

I always 'chirp' to my cats <G>
And they love it.

And even more importantly, it sounds like Caliban is charmed by it,
too.

I'm sure Caliban always knew he was perfect. ;-)

Good job, Caliban!  See, it wasn't so bad, was it!  Your Meowmie loves
you very much and just wants the best for you.

I'm so glad to hear Caliban is doing so well!
Lots of healing purrs for your lip, Marina,
