He sat on my lap

I sat down to eat a sandwich earlier and Shadow wanted to know what I had,
he jumped on to my lap and stayed there even after I finished my sandwich.
He jumped off five minutes later when I reached for my cup of tea then
meatloafed on my footstall.

He's making great progress and he and Baggy just ignore each other. Snoopy
on the other hand still seems a bit nervous of him and spends most of her
time in my bedroom, I do hope she gets used to him soon I'd hate for her to
be upset.

EXcellent progress, Adrian, congratulations!

I was just going to ask you how Snoopy and Bagheera were taking to him.  Has
there been any hissy fits at first?  Has Snoopy been around him at all?

Hugs,

Snoopy has hissed at him several times but she often hisses at Baggy too, I
think eventually they'll get used to each other, I hope so. At first Baggy
tried to get Shadow to play, which Shadow didn't understand, now they ignore
each other, hopefully one day they'll be friends.

LOL. Shadow is really settling in to owning you, isn't he? Purrs for
Snoopy to accept him.

That's amazing news.  So happy for both of you.
(I told you, I told you..)
I've been down this route.   When Boyfie first jumped on to my lap I daren't
move in case it scared him.  Did you feel like this with Shadow?

YAY!!!!!!  More good news from the trenches.  I hope that Snoopy learns that
Shadow is not the enemy soon.  Maybe a cat nip prezzie from Shadow to her?
Maybe some shared shrimpies or other treats on occasion.  We do group catnip
parties here.  No not orgies, they're neutered.

Oh, I can certainly picture you having a sandwich and a cup of tea
whilst wearing a blazer with a coat of arms on the pocket and having a
cat on your lap.

I don't know why, but Adrian doesn't strike me as the blazer-wearing
type. Maybe when he went to school... I picture him relaxing in comfortable
clothes that are also casual enough to get shedded cat fur on. :)

You'd better be careful, the next step is "Sandwich Tax."

Smokey will not leave us alone until he gets a bite.

He will even wrap his forepaws around our hand and pull the hand with
the sandwich down to mouth level.  He's strong!

I'm so glad to hear that Shadow is settling in so well!

If I shift a sandwich from one hand to another, Caliban (who is
inevitably sittign in my lap if I'm eating a sandwich) gets the free
hand to lick. Then I shift the sandwich back to the other hand and he
licks the other hand. Sometimes a crumb falls on my chest and he is
right there to clean it up. Such a good boy. ;)

No blazer, usually just a shirt indoors.

But Tak isn't totally off.  That was a club chair in the picture of Shadow,
right?  A very good photo of a black cat I might add.

Progress indeed!  Great news.
