Oh heavens, it is most certainly kitten season.
This morning, Senyah told me there was someone meowing at the door. I
looked out the window and didn't see any cats. So I opened the door.
As I stepped outside, I saw a little bitty tail go around the corner.
I tried to sweet talk it into coming back, but to no avail.
Later, Senyah told me the cat was back, and just meowiing its little
heart out. Again, I looked out, and saw a little black kitten. When I
opened the door, it ran off again.
This evening, it came back. I veeeery slooowly opened the door. It
stayed in the bushes under our window.
I called to it, and it carefully walked toward my voice. Buster was on
thge airconditioner, looking down at it. I very carefully
steppedoutside, to see it it struggling to climb up the air
conditioner, and up under Buster, who was as amused as I was, I think.
Finally, I pick the kitten up. It climbs up to my shoulder and
head-butts my head, purring all the while. I bring him in to show
Senyah, then fix some milk-soaked crunchies which it devoured. Again,
purring the whole time.
Little Feet was curious and kept popping his head up over the TV tray
where the kitten was eating. Little Boy decided he hated the little
interloper, and glared at it the entire time. Dulce Mae didn't care -
she had Things To Do elsewhere, I suppose.
Afterwards, I was treated to some spectacular purrs, and head butts.
When he went back out, he decided that Buster had the right idea. He
is hangin' with Uncle Buster as I type this.

Oh, Mark. Such a tiny little thing! Wonder where he/she came from?
Bless you for taking him in, he looks too tiny to be out on his own.
Early summer is about when we "find" cats. I've already had the
thought that I sincerely hope I don't get any "visitors" this year. I
am just not up to it. I'm taking care of so many cats and humans right
now that I can't take on anything else.
I even gave away my houseplants on a really low day. I looked at them
as just one more thing to take care of.

You have to stop writing such great posts, Mark. Rob is tired of me
squealing at the pictures or laughing at the stories. He thinks I've found
a primo porn site.
Pam S still laughing and oooing over the bittie pictures.

What a cute little thing! But where do all these kitties come from? No,
this is not a request for a lecture about the Birds and the Bees. :) I
just wonder how you end up with so many cats at your front door. Speaking
of which, how are Emily and the kittens doing?

Magic. I don't know - I suppose they pass around the fact that I have food
and that I love kitties.
> Speaking of which, how are Emily and the kittens doing?
She's up and around more, and threatening any cats who come near her
little nest.
The kittens look good and seem to be confortable. I'll take some "one
week" old pictures later (Wednesday is their one week date).
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

I guess your house is a stop on the Feline Underground Railroad. :)
("Follow the Tuna Can"? Sorry. :))

I would go mad if all these kitties kept turning up on my doorstep. I'd
just have to take them all in and then I'd be in trouble. Like this
adorable little black thing. Ooh, me want.

It's like the hobos used to do; the cats leave a secret mark near the door.

Ooooooo, definite KF! What a sweet little baby, he looks very like
Pan as a kitten. (And we know what happened in THAT case.) Also has
the same sure touch with "purr at and head butt the hoomin--they'll do
ANYTHING for you after that!"
