I realize I let this Particular Anniversary slip past. On April 6, 2006, I sent my dear old Pan on his final journey across the Rainbow Bridge. I have no doubts that the right time had come to release him; he told me as clearly as any cat can that he was ready to go. Getting ME ready for that farewell was the problem! He was very thin and frail by the end, and he collapsed in my arms before Dr. Mell finished giving him his injection. But I still miss the way he used to arrange himself over my shoulders like a purring fur piece when he was chilly. I've never had a better lap cat than him. But thank goodness for my two girls, still allive, well and playful. Melissa > I realize I let this Particular Anniversary slip past.
