Today I went shopping to try, fecklessly yet again, to find pants long
enough that fit (Canadian stores don't usually stock tall sizes in
anything remotely fashionable). While I was trying on, I put on the odd
blouse to see how it looked.
I then realized that I have red spots all over my collarbone area from,
you guessed it, OTIS. His nighttime scratches to hurry up and adjust
the covers for him, have left me with what look like pimples all over
the place where a V-neck shows!
I mentioned it to my friend at checkout and the cashier overheard and
said that her cat does the same thing.

My cat marks are on my left shin and on my chest.
When I'm preparing kitty breakfast in the morning Harri sits in front of
me and meows to be picked up and placed on the counter. If I'm not quite
fast enough she stands up with her front paws against my leg and digs in
with her front claws.
Ranger has decided that he wants the option of being an "under-cat" -
going under the covers with us at night. He seldom does, he just expects
to be offered the opportunity. He will walk up between us and sit staring
at me, waiting for me to life the blanket and offer him passage. If I
don't respond quickly enough, he starts digging at the blanket - right it
touches my chest. This usually results in sharp kitty claws against my
bare chest.

LOL, sorry, but fur now,
I guess you have to match your blouses to your cat maulings.
I loathe trying on clothes, myself.
Especially slacks/pants, of which I have enough of:)

I am tall and understand.....but wait!!! The land of Celine Dion
(relax, I love
Celine) no shorty herself, does not have much in tall pants.??? Around
here,
the only word is 'jeans' - BTW this FL native, used to the larger
'cotton'
or 'regular' cloth-chomping moths down there, recently met my first
'wooL' moths (small but deadly, luckily haven't much wool clothing; am
allergic to it....these moths ate holes in my only piece of wood
clothing,
a pair of black knit pants I wear only when it is unGodly cold here
and
my *** freezing off.) You know I would forgive Otis anything including
premeditated homicide, so why don't you buy the cute blouse and invent
something colorful to explain the red marks to your friends and anyone
else who probably know zilch about medicine/surgery such as, 'Oh dear,
those haven't healed yet from where the straps/restraints/bands/
whatever
you think up were from my operation.' Long live Otis, live long and
prosper,
Otis.....

We have lots of claw marks on our shoulders, courtesy of a certain
lardbutt who likes to travel in style, but does not trust the humans not
to drop him, so he secures himself with very sharp claws. :)

LOL! I once went to a dermatologist (for something unrelated) who
practically INSISTED on prescribing a salve for the "rash" on my neck.
When I tried to tell him it was not a rash but the effect of kitty-cat
claws in need of trimming, he didn't believe me! (That's why I only
went to him ONCE!)

...and then we both had a hearty laugh at how we've let cats run our
lives...
