My Willow Kitty will be a year old on Wednesday and Mr. Orange Thing Mahoney
(better known as O. T.) will be a year old on Thursday.  The girls have
planned a birthday party for them.  Son just called and the outdoor cat ran
in the house tonight and embedded itself in the backroom.  They had to put
together a place, seems she decided to com in to have her kittens. The other
2 cats and 2 dogs don't seem to mind her being there.  They see her outside
all the time.  They are in for a long night, I think.

Aww, that's cute. Wow, though - one year old. They're still babies! (My
two girls will be ages 11 and 10 next month. And the "baby" - Licky -
will be 5.)

Happy Birthday to Willow and O.T.

Purrs for the mama cat.

Caliban also has his purrday this month. He'll be three years old
already! Where does the time go?

That's right Caliban is also one of the hoolikittens of 2005.  We need to
get them together and let them have a party to celebrate their
hoolikittenness.

Pam S.  who's owner Qui Gun Kit is also of the 2005 vintage

Caliban sez a party sounds good. You gotta have food at a party, right?
Yeah, a party sounds good. (Actually he's busy licking a frying pan that
I fried spicy mushrooms in <shakes head>)

Well...  whats wrong? Even I like to do that :)
Especially the crunchy pieces.

The best part of fried potatoes is the ones that stick to the pan.

Are all members of the hoolikitten class of 2005 that bad about strange or
spicy foods?  I've caught Qui Gun Kit drinking iced sweet tea, munching on
ice cubes, eating taco salad, drinking grape fruit juice, eating tomatoes,
stealing a slice of banana, and robbing a pizza blind of it's pepperoni and
other toppings.

<nodnod> Sounds familiar. Every time I open a carton of strained
tomatoes, Caliban comes running to lick it clean. Same with beans. Dry
spaghetti. He usually licks my frying pans clean after dinner, whatever
(spicy) I've made in them. Yesterday I'd had some cut-up tomatoes and
cucumber in a bowl. He licked that clean after I'd eaten the veggies.
The only thing he doesn't like is orages. He sits by and wrinkles his
nose at me when I peel one.

I remembered earlier that Qui Gun Kit, one of the hoolikitten class of 05
turned 3 on March 28th.  We think that Miss Calico Girl is a year or so old
and Sonya is about four or less, she wasn't a year old when she had QGK.
Huey is six, Pine Cone is eight, Merlin is nine, QC is eleven, and our
matriarch, Tanada is fifteen and a half.  We has all ages and sizes here at
chez Shirk.

it seems like yesterday we went to get willow, and only the same when you
called to discuss the state of OT, Lee

Poor little O T all covered with fleas.  So bad in fact I threw away the
towel I had him carried home in.

Oh the girl, child, whatever that he was born in the house of.  She came in
yesterday and said "I am a Grandcat again". I damn near hit her.  This is
the one I had given money to get her cat fixed.  She said later that she
just couldn't do it, the kittens are so cute.  I called the workshop person
and after taking 3 bucks a week from her pay, I got my money back.  It will
be used to have Twitch, the mamma to be at Mikes house taken to VET ASAP.

When she said that I was so mean I was almost ashamed of myself.  I looked
at her and said "More coon food Huh."  She is pleased that a farmer will
take all the kittens he can get for his barn and grain bin area.  He has
been reported.  She keeps them until she is tired of them and then....you
get the idea.

I know it sounds really mean but I wish someone could take this cat away or
something, its just wrong, but I know she would only get another one, it is
abusive to the cat to me, not to mention the fate of the kittens, Lee

Is the person mentally retarded?   That is the only way I can find for this
attitude.  Meanwhile, I forgot to tell O. T. Mahoney and Willow happy purr
day.  I was so intent on remembering to put Qui Gun Kit's purr day into the
group that I forgot the reason for the post.  I'm so blonde and selfish..
Please forgive me, O. T. and Willow.

Pam S. hanging her head in shame.
Granby - 03 Apr 2008 16:53 GMT
Yes, she is retarded.  Most of the cleaning at the rest areas in Illinois
are done by workshop groups like this.  It is wonderful that they have jobs
but some things just are not right.   She brought pictures on her phone of
the new kitties and said "Your mean, you can't see them".  No was to make
her understand.
