There's a small, many-branched tree growing right outside one of the kitchen
windows. My computer is set up on the kitchen table. Out of the corner of
my eye, there's a movement. I look over and there's a squirrel in the tree,
looking rather anxious. "What are you doing, Mr. Squirrel? That's not a
very sturdy tree." You should have seen the look on its face when it
realized I was sitting not 5 feet away. Then I noticed Schwartzy sitting on
the driveway, about 15 feet away. Which is worse? Human or Cat?

We have similar trees on the campus where I work. We also have _hawks_.
The squirrels have figured out that the hawks can't get into those branches
very well. The problem is the squirrels can't stay there forever.
