I am taking Rusty to the vet for check-up and vaccainations today.
Appreciate purrs that everything is fine. Rusty is not quite himself
lately and I suspect something may be bothering him.  Thanks!

Thanks for the purrs. We just got back from the vet. They found blood
in his urine.
Also took blood for a feline geriatric panel. Rusty lost a bit of
weight. The vet said he
looks fine and his teeth are good for his age. Rusty is going to be 14
in June. Fecal test was fine. The vet will call me about the blood and
urine test results. It costs a fortune for all  these tests and the
shots. Just hope there is nothing serious.

Winnie,

Licky recently had blood in his urine, too, which was the result of an
inflammation in his bladder. He was on medication for 2 weeks to help
bring the inflammation under control, and now he's on a special diet. I
haven't been seeing the little drops of blood on the bathroom floor as
much as I used to. (But I didn't realize until I got his diagnosis that
the little drops were blood, or I would've gotten them all checked out!)

Purrs that you will be able to treat Rusty with meds and/or diet.

Poor Licky :(
Glad he got better with the meds and all.  Kitties can be very fragile when
it comes to health issues, bleeding on our flooors, pooping blood, etc, but
what we won't do for them...right?

Thanks Kyla & Mosey. I lived in Seattle for 4 years. It is a nice
city.
I have been brushing Rusty's teeth for many years. The vet said his
teeth look good for his age. Rusty did have 2 teeth removed over a
year ago.
