Granby - 30 Mar 2008 20:45 GMT Since so many of you like funny stories about cats you just have to read this.
Today I made a blackberry pie with the last of the berries in the freezer. When it cooled, I cut me some and put the rest in the pie safe.
I went to change clothes from the washer to the dryer and when I came back, I found Willow, a white cat, sitting in the middle of the table cleaning off her blue feet. She had walked in my piece of pie, they sat in it while trying to get it off her feet. I didn't even mind, I haven't laughed so hard in so long, it was worth it. She has had a bath but still has blue feet, face, belly and butt.

Granby - 30 Mar 2008 21:40 GMT Sorry, don't do pictures, thinking about it is funnier than a picture.

Even worse, if possible, than Stinky's great cocoa-powder adventure, when he was a hoolikitten. ;)

I can imagine but want to know! It was in Stinky's second year, prime very young cat nonsense-time. I came home, and found not a black and white cat, but a rather peculiar calico. He had brown patches all over his white fur. In the kitchen, there was an opened cocoa tin on the floor, and cocoa powder all over the floor. The enterprising little bugger had tipped the cocoa tin out of the pantry, pried the cover off, spread the stuff all over the floor and rolled around in it. ;)

This reminds me of a story a friend of mine told me years ago. Many years previously, she and a friend of hers had gotten stoned - yes this is tangentially a drug story - and were watching a movie. They got the munchies, of course, so they made a big bowl of butterscotch pudding from a mix. While they waited for it to "set", they continued watching TV.
During a commercial break, they went into the kitchen to see how the pudding was coming along. And they found my friend's cat sitting inside the bowl, covered from head to toe with butterscotch pudding, happily licking himself off.
I don't think he was permanently dyed, as Willow might be (or at least, for a while), but he certainly looked ludicrous. And the humans had to find something else to pig out on. :)

Granby - 01 Apr 2008 23:28 GMT Willow is almost back to normal. Harked up a couple of hairballs, the constant grooming. Gave her some stuff so hope she will stop that. Piglet was watching this harking process and it gagged her! Know how she felt. Now, bet that was more info than most wanted. Sorry but it was funny.
