Hi - that's about 5 miles from where I am. According to the BBC news it
was a small private plane carrying 5 people that crashed into two houses
in a quiet suburban area. No news about the plane's occupants or if
anyone was in the houses at the time.

I just heard on the local (Seattle) news that a few people
were slightly injured/burned by debris on the ground.
I don't usually watch the news and had DH un mute it so I could
hear what was being said.
All i caught was the news about the people on the ground.
Still sad .

Unfortunately, as well as those few people's injuries, the 5 occupants
of the plane were killed in the crash/fireball. Despite that tragedy it
seems to have been a lucky escape for a lot more people as it's a very
residential built-up area, with housing estates, a large hospital, and
two large towns all very close by. I don't suppose that experience or
the recent near miss at Heathrow will stop our Govt adding more runways
to our existing airports within London's residential areas, though.

I wonder if the house owners have been contacted yet, the news said they
were on holiday. What a mess to come home to.

I've heard people say they need a holiday to save their lives- I doubt
it''s ever been more true than in this case!

I feel so sorry for the families for their loss,  but I feel for the man who
saw the plane come down too in front of him.  He said he saw the fright in
their eyes as they came down and will never get over it because there was
absolutely nothing he could do to save them.
How awful is that?  Imagine.
