He was a very good boy.
Well, I have to wait for the blood and urine tests.  But the doc said he
looks good for 17. She found no masses. He *has* lost weight.   He got a
glucosamine supplement for his stiffness, and some subcutaneous water.  The
things to watch for in the tests, are the thyroid and the kidneys.  I am
praying that the kidneys are OK.

Thanks for all your wonderful purrs-- could you please continue to purr for
my boy, till I get his test results tomorrow?  Thanks so much.

A quartet of purrs from my furry mistresses Martha Emily and Sophie,
and from Mooch. I don't purr, but I wish him - and you - the best
possible news.

We always purr for Stinky and we are glad that he appears to be simply
older and not seriously ill. Being old myself, I have been looking
forward to being grumpy. Has he been able to achieve grumpyness? Good
luck on the tests.

He is able to exercise some grumpyness towards Dante, but towards all
hoomins, he is still his sweet, friendly, curious self.   He was a very good
boy at the vet, today.

More purrs on the way for healthy kidneys for Stinky and soothing purrs for
you!

Will keep purring.  I understand your worries about the thyroid and
kidneys; those are two of the three things to worry about in older cats.
But keep in mind that both are treatable to some degree if caught
early.  So I have faith Stinky will be okay.

Here's hoping he's just not as hungry as he used to be.  (I wish the same
thing for myself some days!)

Purring that Stinky's tests will contain good news, and that his
weight loss is on account of age, and not actual illness. Toss the old
sweetie a cherry for me! =o)

I know you're going to be on pins and needles, so I pray you sleep well
tonight and my critters are giving Stinky major purrs.  :~)

Purrs will continue.  Lindy was losing weight too.  Her problem turned out
to be the thyroid.  She doesn't like the twice-daily thyroid medication, but
she takes it, and she is no longer bony.  I hope the same will be true of
Stinky.

MAJOR purrs coming from us ....
ask the vet about some kitty toothpaste,
I'm serious..
The enzymes in it will 'help' combat kidney things,
but the thyroid, IDK about.  I have a hyperactive thyroid and
have to take meds for that,
so maybe they'll have something for that.
Don't be afraid to ask questions.

Snoopy is right.  Tanada, grouchy quirks and all is my bestest girl.
