Cat Forum / Cat Anecdotes / March 2008Shhhh...Mooch is meditating!
Mooch our resident stray has survived another bitter Canadian winter, sleeping in his veranda chair with his heating pad turned on. And he's still eating up to five meals a day. I've described how he now rolls back and forth before we set his food and water on the veranda mat. Now he's added a new procedure. After eating instead of leaving, he sits and meditates for up to ten minutes or more, often with his back to us. This leaves us with a decision. Do we to quietly take the bowls in so raccoons and other cats don't dig in? He usually won't run if we do. Or do we leave him to meditate? Whatever, Mooch is one of the world's most pampered strays! It's so good to hear from people who help cats in need.
