Cat Forum / Cat Anecdotes / March 2008RPCA meeting suggestion
Some of us do not do water well (I can relate to that, I don't/can't swim), and others like the idea of a cruise. Why not do both. We get together in Orlando either before or after the cruise for the rest of the gathering. That way we can have our surf and our turf. Part of the reason I said it wouldn't be practicle for most, fares from the USA and Australia would cost a lot too. Orlando is smack in middle of state - 50 miles to ocean east or west - but if you have a vehicle after cruise docks back in, you can just hop on I-95, FL Turnpike or (somewhat out of the way) I-75 ending up in Orlando. Orlando has tons of lakes but I do assume you are talking *ocean* cruise. Orlando is quite a hike from Miami. Sanford Florida 20 minutes north of Orlando does a river cruise on the st. johns
