I'm bummed folks,
I haven't posted here in a long time. I wish the circumstances were
different.
Old Fizzgig had become an outdoor cat over the last year or so, and
Thursday nite he disappeared. I just don't know what happened to him!
I like to think he has taken up somewhere, but I have this bad feeling
I just can't shake.
:-(
Cheers,

Someone will post the link to some of the ways to look for a missing cat.
Four days is not an insurmountable time for a cat to be gone. Especially an
outdoor or mostly outdoor cat.
One thing I always remember to do, is to wait for early evening when things
get quiet to start calling for them. Then don't call as you walk away from
home. You could actually lure them even further away doing that. But walk
as far as you are going to, and then call to them as you head back home.
Stop between calls and listen.
Cats can get frightened into going too far away and then are afraid to
really go out and about to try to find their way back to home.
Purrs for returning home guidance from the mothership.

We're going to send our best "get your fuzzy butt home" purrs, and hold
out hope that he's just gotten himself trapped in someone's garage.

It's not time to start mourning! He hasn't been gone that long. A
couple of summers ago, my indoor/outdoor cat Smudge went missing for
a week. I finally found her, stuck in someone's garage. It's definitely
worthwhile for you to go around to your neighbors and ask them to check
sheds, cellars and garages. Make a flyer with Fizzgig's picture on it
and your contact info, and give it out when you knock on the neighbors'
doors. That way, they'll have a reference for what he looks like, and
a way to get in touch with you if they find him.
Good luck, and purrs for you to find him ASAP!

Most excellent advice! Heavens, cats have gone missing a lot longer than 4
days and turned up just fine.

I know, folks.
The Fizz is the veteran (or survivor) of a 2&1/2 mo. wandering
journey.
But that was back in '02. Plus, he is nearly 13yrs old. Maybe I am
just beating myself up for banishing him from the house.
He became an outdoor cat after he got POed at me for a work trip I
took to OH; started pi$$ing and $hitting all over the house. Kicked
him out and he started loving the big back yard to the point he
wouldn't come inside more than a few minutes.
I am missing his furry face. I am trying to stay optimistic, and I
appreciate all the human/feline support.
Cheers,
Kodos (keeping the porch light on...where are you at, Fizz?!!)

Mosey sent a 'word' out to Fizzgig to get his butt home because you were
worried about him.
Cats can pull some real attitudes on you, I know that.
Chin up, you never know when he'll finally decide to come home, and I agree
with the others about going around to garages and putting up fliers.
Great idea that

Is there a window you can leave open a bit that he can get in through?
