I didn't want to hijack Joyce's thread, but I just wanted to say how happy I
am to know somebody else who appreciates "1776" and John Adams.  That is
such a sad song, but it's one of my favorites from that wonderful
play/movie.  I've seen it both on stage and on screen, and like it better
every time I see it.  Your insight into John Adams is very perceptive.

Are you watching the mini-series?  A very remarkable man, and a remarkable
family.

This is one of the few times I wish I had HBO.  I'll have to see if it comes
out on DVD and buy it from them.

Not a promise as  I have to work out the electronics, but I'll try to put it
on DVD for you by the time the series is over.  (Anyone know how many
episodes there are?)

I've got three DVR recorders and one is hooked up to a DVD recorder, if I've
got them hooked up correctly.  I didn't get the first three episodes on that
box, but HBO reruns over and over and over and.....

Mini-series!  What day of the week is it on?  What network or channel?

Thanks, I'm a big Adams fan and  have read (and own a lot) of every book I
can find about him.  The letters between him and Abigail are fascinating.
Especially since they had a relationship a lot like Rob's and mine.  They
probably spent less than thirty of their fifty + year marriage together.
Usually John was off doing political work while Abigail ran the farm.  I've
apparently infected Mike with my love of Revolutionary History as his
history term paper is on Adams, Jefferson and Franklin and how they got the
Declaration of Independence put through.  I'm so proud.

Hi Pam,
I'm borrowing a 'cuppa ping' and first was wanting to thank you for your
kind response to me in the other thread. That was SO aweet of you.
And, I've been wanting to ask you for your mailing address so I could just
write you a happy Cat card that DH made back in 2002.  I've already sent a
few people some of them and am Mosey and I are in cathoots in writing more:)
No pressure if you don't want to, just send me an e-mail to my comcast addy
or not, whether or not you'd like us to sned you a card.  They are indeed
cute, and it helps 'me' feel better.
Like I said, no worries and I won't be offended if you say you'd rather not.
okay, a couple of other questions I wanted to ask you, are you from the
MileHigh City?
That's where I'm from, but made a transplant to the Seattle area over 31
years ago.
The other question is how did you get your, erm 'nickname?  It's really
interesting
Anyhoooo..
just an offer from a 'probie (NCIS)

Re card:  please don't
I'm from Eastern Washington State, near Spokane but married into the
military and have lived in other states as well
Tanada is one of my owners.  Tanadashoes came up as a desperation name as
none of the other versions of Tanada were working in a group I was trying to
join and Tanada does have white feet which look like she's wearing
boots/shoes.  Tanada got her name from a series of Fantasy books by Robert
Lynn Asprin, called either the Myth series or the Skeeve and Az adventures.
The Tananda in the book is a trollop and my Tanada just acts like one even
though she is black and white instead of green, though I did turn her green
by accident one St Patrick's day.  .

Okay...no worries  and no offense taken :)

Ahhhh, I see.
Eastern Wash was not some place I'd rather not live..
too hot in the Summer, too cold in the Winter.
Same with MileHigh.

LOL @ Tanada
You turned her green by 'accident.?
Wow, 'that' is very interesting, thanks:)
I've never heard of the books you mentioned, tho.
